CARMEL - Motorists should always pay close attention to traffic control, orange barrels, special signage and detour routes posted on roads and streets in Carmel.
On or after April 24, work begins on a new roundabout at City Center Drive and Range Line Road. Phase I calls for lane restrictions only, no road closure.
Traffic will be maintained with one-lane open in each direction. There will be access into Carmel City Center shops and restaurants from both Range Line Road and City Center Drive.
The traffic pattern on 126th Street will remain the same, westbound only from Keystone Parkway.
Phase II, which begins on or after May 30, will involve a complete intersection closure for 14 days. This project and the 126th Street project are both expected to be completed by the end of June.
Other projects affecting traffic include:
136th and Gray - This roundabout project has been delayed until late April due to utility conflicts. The closure will take place as soon as the current culvert replacement project to the north at 146th and Gray is completed and all utility issues have been resolved.
106th Street, Shelborne to Michigan - On or after April 17, 106th Street will be closed between Shelborne Road and Michigan Road for a culvert replacement project. The road is expected to be closed for 15 days, weather permitting.
