CARMEL - Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation will play host to its annual Preschool Splash Bash, an event designed for young children and their parents, at The Waterpark 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16.
Admission is $6 per child. Adults attending with their children will be admitted free.
Kids and their parents can enjoy several features of The Waterpark including the kiddie pool, activity pool and the lazy river. Games and crafts will also be available throughout the event.
"We're opening The Waterpark back up for one more weekday for preschool-aged kids and their parents to take over," said Shauna Lewallen, Recreation Services manager. "It's a great opportunity for moms and dads to get some one-on-one time with their younger kids, especially if they have older children who are back in school."
The Waterpark moves into post-season hours beginning Aug. 15, meaning that it is closed to the public Monday-Friday and is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The Waterpark's last open day of the season is Labor Day, Sept. 4.
Pre-registration for the Preschool Splash Bash is encouraged. Those interested can visit carmelclayparks.com in order to register. For questions, please contact Lewallen at email@example.com.
