Aspire Indiana has been awarded a grant for its Affordable Housing Program from the PNC Foundation.
The $10,000 grant will provide rental assistance to individuals in Aspire's Affordable Housing units in central Indiana.
With more than 300 housing units, Aspire is the largest affordable housing provider of any community mental health center in the state.
The units are divided into a range of eligibility sub-categories and are rented to individuals with low or moderate levels of income.
Affordable housing programs across the state often do not fully provide enough funding for low-income individuals and families. Funds like those provided by the PNC Foundation grant provide vital supplemental funding for these programs.
"The Aspire Housing Department is excited and thankful for these funds as they will help individuals who need additional housing support," said Melissa Stayton, Aspire's senior director of strategic initiatives.
