CARMEL - The Carmel American Legion Riders and American Legion Post 155 have scheduled Cobe's Kickin' Cancer Poker Run Sept. 9. The event is open to all riders and is a fundraiser for a local child fighting cancer.
Cobe Scott developed cancer in his right eye and had to have it removed. Proceeds from the ride will go to help with Cobe's medical expenses, further treatment, and a prosthetic eye.
Registration is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and the ride is scheduled to get under way at 10 a.m.
Riders are invited to participate and asked to invite others. For those that can't ride, donations are kindly accepted by sending to Carmel ALR Post 155 c/o Cobe. American Legion Post 155, 852 West Main St., Carmel, IN 46032
The cost is $25 per rider and $10 for passengers. The ride starts and ends at Carmel American Legion Post 155.
Free food will be provided after ride, and Poker Run prizes will be awarded at 5 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Sept. 10.
