NPA releases holiday guide, programs

Nickel Plate Arts has released its holiday Arts Guide, including information on the many events going on over these next few months, as well as the different artist exhibits to be displayed.

NPA's next big event is Santa's Workshop Dec. 2, 9, and 16, where families can come to the Nickel Plate campus and participate in holiday-themed art projects, perfect for giving to someone this Christmas.

There are also other events going on, including the First Friday "Gifted" exhibit and Elves' Night Out

Other upcoming events include:

• First Friday Exhibit: Gifted

WHEN: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

WHERE: Nickel Plate Arts Campus, 107 S. 8th St.

WHAT: Gifted is Nickel Plate's annual holiday exhibit-turned-gift-market and a one-stop shop for all arts enthusiasts this Christmas. It will also feature live music from the White River Sound Chorus and showcase painter Shakila Garugu.

• Santa's Workshop

WHEN: Noon to 1:30 p.m. for ages 5-8., 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 9-14, Saturday, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16

WHERE: Nickel Plate Arts Campus, 107 S. 8th St.

WHAT: Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews to spend some quality time at Nickel Plate Arts and participate in holiday-themed art projects - perfect for gifting or keeping - while snacking on sweet treats! Santa's Workshop features 1.5-hour art sessions guided by local artist and Noblesville Schools art teacher Darlene Patterson. Each Saturday will feature a different holiday-themed project for mini artists (beginners: ages 5-8) and young artists (advanced: ages 9-14).

• Elves' Night Out

WHEN: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 16.

WHERE: Nickel Plate Arts Campus, 107 S. 8th St.

WHAT: Join Nickel Plate for a couples' night out and shopping spree. Sip a glass of wine while shopping our "Gifted" exhibit. Expect to see pottery, paper products, books by local authors, wearable and decorative textiles, jewelry, paintings and much more in a range of price points. Small groups / couples can also create holiday-themed art with a range of artist-led projects while enjoying live music, snacks and a wine and beer bar.

• Cure for Cabin Fever Drop-In Crafts

WHEN: Noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Dec. 27-Jan. 6.

WHERE: Nickel Plate Arts Campus, 107 S. 8th St.

WHAT: Getting a little stir crazy in the house? Bring your young artist to Nickel Plate Arts for a range of awesome afternoon art projects during gallery hours. Projects rotate each week. Kids of all ages are welcome. Parents must accompany children while on campus.
