Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is Saturday The Times

The community is invited to a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day event at 11 a.m. Saturday inside Noblesville City Hall, 16 S. 10th St., Noblesville.

Hamilton County Navy Club Ship No. 29 is coordinating the program, which will feature host, the Navy Club's commander, Mike Probst.

Guest speaker will be Westfield's 93-year-old Bill Green, a U.S. Navy veteran who will give a first-hand account of World War II.

Families and veterans are encouraged to attend.

The program will take place on the second floor of the City Hall. Elevators are available for those who need a lift.

Admission is free.

There will also be a presentation of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's speech to Congress and video of the raising of the Naval Vessels sank during the sneak attack by the Japanese on Dec. 7, 1941.

There will also be a 21-gun salute and Taps played at the close of the program.

The club meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Ginger's Cafe, 1804 Conner St., Noblesville. Cost is $10 per person. Navy vets are welcome.
