ARCADIA - A 55-year-old Cicero man was killed in an accident Wednesday.
Boyd K. Morris, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by medical personnel.
Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies were called to Ind. 19 and 266th Street, Arcadia, just before 11:30 a.m. on a report of a personal injury accident. It was reported a victim was trapped in the vehicle and not responding.
Deputies arriving at the crash site reported a white 2001 GMC Jimmy, driven by Morris, was traveling westbound on 266th Street approaching Ind. 19 when for an unknown reason it left the north side of the roadway.
The vehicle collided with an embankment on the east side of Ind. 19 before crossing the highway and eventually striking an unoccupied delivery truck parked at the Casey's on the northwest corner of the intersection.
No one else was injured during the incident.
The crash is under review by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Team.
