Some already showing interest in Richardson's seat
Several people have expressed interest in running for State Rep. Kathy Richardson's seat in the Indiana House of Representatives.

Laura Campbell, chairwoman of the Hamilton County Republican Party, said no one has made a firm decision.

Alexander announces candidacy for Hamilton County Council
WESTFIELD - Ken Alexander, Westfield, will run for Hamilton County Council, District 4, covering Westfield, Sheridan, and western Carmel.

Alexander is currently the Vice President of Sales at Fishers-based the Hagerman Group and was previously the Director of Grand Park in Westfield.

HAND awarded $25,000 grant to assist seniors
Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development Inc. has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Central Indiana Senior Charles N. Smith Trust Fund, a Central Indiana Community Fund program, to support a new the Home Repair & Mobility Assistance program for low- to moderate-income seniors.

Donations requested for firefighters Christmas food and toy drive
The Noblesville Fire Department is preparing for its final week of collecting donations for this year's Christmas Food and Toy Drive Dec. 16.

The department thanks those who have already contributed, but items are still needed to ensure local families have a joyous holiday season.

Choirs entertain chamber
Hamilton heights High School Choir Director Jennifer Boone joined her students to entertain those attending the Northern Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce holiday luncheon, Thursday. The Sheridan High School choir also performed for chamber members. During the luncheon chamber members participated in an auction to raise money for The Youth Assistance Program at Sheridan and Hamilton Heights high schools, and Sacred Family Charity of Hamilton County.

Suarez to focus on building Conner Prairie's international footprint
FISHERS - Susana Suarez has been named vice president-chief marketing officer at Conner Prairie.

Suarez will be tasked with building the museum's global footprint and guide marketing, communications and community engagement initiatives.

She joins the museum as a member of Gov. Eric Holcomb's senior executive team, having served in several positions, including executive director of Holcomb's strategic communications and the administration's Neuro-Diagnostic Institute and Advanced Treatment Center, a division of Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration.

Hamilton County Parks and Recreation has officially named Outdoor Excursions, Inc., a company led by longtime Noblesville resident and businessman, Brian Cooley, as the operations partner for its unique, new snow tubing facility - Koteewi Run, Seasonal Slopes, located in Strawtown Koteewi Park.

Richardson will not seek re-election to Indiana General Assembly
House District 29 State Rep. Kathy Richardson (R-Noblesville) will not seek re-election to the Indiana General Assembly.

Richardson will seek the office of Hamilton County Clerk in 2018.

"I am announcing that in January I will be filing to run for Hamilton County Clerk in 2018 and I will not seek re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives," Richardson said.
