CICERO - Hamilton North Public Library wants to see how Hamilton County residents "Picture a Better World."
The Library and Friends of the Library organization are sponsoring a photo contest for Hamilton County residents, encouraging them to get out their cameras and capture potential award-winning photographs.
"Picture a Better World," is this year's theme for the library's annual competition features three divisions for entering and prizes in all categories.
Entries are due today through Friday at Hamilton North Public Library, 209 W Brinton St, Cicero, during regular library hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
Photographs may be in color or black and white, no smaller than 8"x10," and mounted on mat board only.

This year's contest features three divisions, Professional, Amateur, and Junior. Within the amateur division there are three categories, People, Places, and Animals. The junior division is subdivided into the age groups K-4, 5-8, and 9-12.
Entries will be judged Aug. 5, with best of show in all categories and first, second, and third prizes in each division.
On Aug. 6, the photographs and their award recognition will be featured during a special reception at 2 p.m. in the Cicero branch.
The contest, sponsored by HNPL's Friends of the Library is open to all Hamilton county residents.
"Picture a Better World" brochures are available at both the Atlanta and Cicero branches, but entries must be turned in at the Cicero branch.
