Fire destroys Cicero home
The Times

CICERO - Fire destroyed a Cicero home Monday, and damaged two neighboring homes.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, reported at 7:20 p.m.

The occupants were not at home when the fire started, but called the Cicero Fire Department when they returned to the residence, at 1209 Frogs Leap.

Zachary Lay and Kayla Parker were at a local restaurant when the fire started, and returned home to find the front living area full of smoke and smoke detectors going off.

Lay made entry to save the two dogs in the residence and all were able to exit without injury.

The first arriving crew was able to cool the residences on each side of the structure stopping the fire from spreading. The houses at 1189 and 1229 Frogs Leap were both damaged by the flames, however damage was limited to the siding and a small portion of the roof.

The Lay home was a complete loss of the structure and most of the contents. A car in the garage was able to be removed during the fire operation.

The cause of the fire in undetermined and still under investigation.

Cicero Fire Department was assisted by the Noblesville Fire Department and the Jackson Township Fire Departments.

No fire fighters or civilians were injured as a result of the fire.
