Career fair offers options
SHERIDAN - The Sheridan Youth Assistance Program will play host to its second annual Student Career Exploration Fair 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2, in the Sheridan High School Gymnasium.
Students in grades 8 through 12 from Sheridan, Hamilton Heights, Tipton, and Clinton Central are invited to attend the hands-on, interactive career fair which will highlight skilled trades in advanced manufacturing, the hospitality industry, agriculture, human services, health care, transportation, construction, and information technology.
"The students at the Sheridan Youth Assistance Fair were among the most engaged and inquisitive students I have spoken to this year, out of dozens of events," said Mike Thibideau, executive director of the Indiana Construction Roundtable
More than 600 students from area schools attended in 2016 and more are expected this year.

The Hamilton County Youth Assistance Program proactively assists the healthy development of Hamilton County youth and their families. The organization is a public/private partnership between board members, the cities of Westfield, Noblesville, Fishers, Carmel, Sheridan, Cicero and Hamilton County, the School Corporations of Westfield-Washington, Noblesville, Hamilton Southeastern, Carmel Clay, Hamilton Heights, Sheridan, and the communities at-large.
