SHERIDAN - The Sheridan community's annual Good Samaritan Thanksgiving Dinner takes place on Thanksgiving Day.

Community members, helpers and volunteers make this annual event a success every year -- and this year looks to be no different. These good folks help bring our community together in a sharing and comforting way.

The meal is being served at the Community Center and serving time is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year nearly 200 people enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Again this year the Good Samaritan Network is providing all the food and community citizens are providing the manpower to make this free meal possible. Everyone - and we mean everyone - in the community is invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for all of us to come together and break bread with our fellow man in peace and friendship as we begin this wonderful holiday season. If you cannot stay for the meal, take-outs are available, and if you cannot make the journey, we have a home delivery option, too. If you would like a meal delivered to you, please call Steve at the library (317) 758-5201 and ask to be put on the delivery list. And help us spread the word by telling your friends and neighbors about this free meal.
