The Noblesville Lions Club would like to thank our loyal customers for supporting our recent Pork Chop BBQ and Pancake Breakfast. We would also like to thank all the businesses that purchased tent ads and the businesses and individuals that donated items for our successful silent auction. This is our major fund raiser and allows us to help many groups and individuals.
This past year we provided eyeglasses to needy students and adults with the help of Dr. Dana Meyer and associates. We tested over 900 pre-school students through Operation KidSight for potential eye problems and refer around 2% to an eye doctor because we detected a problem. This year we also helped 2 adults receive hearing aids. We provided individual dictionaries for all the third grade students at Hazel Dell Elementary School. We also helped, the Noblesville High School music program, gave to Firefighter Phil program for the elementary schools, donated to the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club programs and building fund, and the Red Stocking Fund for needy kids. We gave two Noblesville seniors a one thousand dollar scholarship, and one senior a five hundred dollar scholarship to Ivy Tech, gave a Hamilton Heights senior a five hundred scholarship, donated to the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, and Noblesville Third Phase. We donated to Sunshine Friends to help handicapped kids and to Indiana Deaf Camp. In addition we supported Noblesville Main Street, Elysians Foundation, honored veterans at our November meeting and gave large print playing cards to local nursing homes.
Your Support helped the Noblesville Lions Club return almost $15,000.00 to support these community endeavors. We hope to see you next year on the first Friday in June, 2018.
