Preparation is key in case of emergency
As a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, I know that severe weather can happen at any time. However, experience tells us that preparation can help us better respond and recover from the impact of a disaster.

Now accepting House Republican intern applications
The other evening, I was at an event, and as I looked around, I noticed many of the individuals attending were previous Indiana House Republican interns. It was amazing to see that this internship has led to so many full-time employment opportunities in many various positions of state government.

Celebrating our rich history on Statehood Day
Our state has a rich history, and we have a lot to celebrate in Indiana, especially in our community. For example, did you know that Hamilton County was actually named after Alexander Hamilton, who was one of the Founding Fathers as well as the first Secretary of the Treasury?

In 1818, the land, which is present day Hamilton County, was purchased by the U.S. with the Treaty of St. Mary's. Over the years, our area has blossomed and is now home to three of the largest cities in the state; Carmel, Fishers and my hometown, Noblesville. Although we have one of the fastest growing economies in Indiana, our community has humble beginnings intertwined with some of the most heartwarming people you could ever meet.

Champion for Hoosiers makes history

When Justice Rush was serving as juvenile court judge, she helped implement a certified juvenile drug treatment court as well as initiate an assessment center for youth, which provided services around the clock. During her tenure, she also helped create and sustain more than 25 different youth programs, including the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program in Tippecanoe County.
