Head boys track and field coach Kent Graham is excited by what he's seen in the run-up to this spring's outdoor season.
"The boys track and field season is off to a rousing start," Graham said. "The team has competed in seven indoor meets on several college campuses including: Wabash, DePauw, IPFW, Trine and Indiana Wesleyan."
The team will conclude its indoor season at the Hoosier State Relays at Indiana University on Mar. 25. The Millers will compete in their first outdoor meet a few days prior at Fishers High School on Mar. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
Graham expects his team to be led by a trio of top seniors: Drew Hartmann, Levi Neuzerling and Eric Hoffman. Hartmann was a state finalist in the shot put last season. Neuzerling runs in the 4x800-meter relay and was a 2016 cross-country state finalist. Hoffman was a 2016 cross-country semistate finalist.
Graham also noted a number of athletes that have shown promise during the indoor meets including: Bryce Gatewood, Josh Garcia, Will Anderson, Zachary Freeman and Dalton Davis.
