The University baseball team travelled south to central Tennessee last weekend to play in the Vikings Classic baseball tournament hosted by Community High School in Unionville, Tenn. The Trailblazers returned to Indiana after picking up three wins in four games.
On Friday morning the Trailblazers were welcomed to Unionville by the host Community Vikings with a beat down. The Vikings blanked University 10-0 and allowed the Trailblazers only one hit in the process.

The Trailblazers bounced back on Friday afternoon with 6-3 over Roane County. University got off to a hot start at the plate leading 5-0 after two innings and never looked back.
On Saturday morning University pulled out a win in a tight contest 8-7 over the Huntland Hornets. The game was back-and-forth for its entirety and was locked into a 5-5 tie heading into the final inning. The Trailblazers scored three runs in the top of the seventh and held the Hornets to two runs in the bottom of the inning to secure the victory.
University ended its trip to Tennessee with a solid 9-5 over Cornersville High School on Saturday afternoon. The Trailblazers built a 7-0 advantage after three innings and were able to hang on to the lead despite five late Bulldog runs.
University returns home after a successful trip with a 3-1 record for the season heading into its next game and home opener against Speedway on April 10th at 5:00 p.m.
