Westfield wins 3-way

The Westfield Boys Track team competed against Carmel and Noblesville Monday evening, emerging victorious with 68 points to Carmel's 63 and Noblesville's 36.

While the highlight of the night was Dainon Wray breaking the school record in the 300 meter hurdles, with a time of 39.2, the evening began with a win for the 4 x 800 meter relay team of Charles Miller, Desmond Herrell, Jacob Mears, and Derek Maue, followed up by a 1-3 finish in the 100 meter hurdles for Peyton Haack and Dainon Wray.

Even Manley and Nolan Rodgers finished 2-3 in the 100 meters, as did Noah Douthit and James McClure in the 1,600.

Miller won the 400, and Haack joined Wray to score in the 300 meter hurdles.

Herrell won the 800 meters, and Manley finished second in the 200.

Aaron Bennett won the 3,200, with Nick Leahy third.

In field events, Nolan Rodgers won the long jump, and Mamaril and Haack were 2 and 3 in the pole vault.

In the discus, Colin Caldwell finished second, while Elisha Lennon finished fourth, and David Menoza finished fourth in the shot put.

The team travels to Fishers, 5 p.m. April 25.
