Admission is $12 per person and the ticket is good for both days of the tournament.
No Personal Coolers: Personal coolers are not allowed on the course.
Parking: Spectators will use the off-site parking lot southwest of the roundabout at the intersection of Main Street and River Road and be shuttled to and from the golf course.
Riding Carts: A limited number of riding carts will be available at cost on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Golf carts are limited to the cart path only. Please check the clubhouse counter for details. Courtesy carts also will be circling the course transporting spectators.
YORKTOWN - Clay Merchent continued his victory tour through the Indiana High School Athletic Association State Golf Tournament, capturing medalist honors at the Muncie Central Regional Thursday. The tournament was played at The Player's Club in Yorktown.
Merchent ran away from the field, carding a 6-under 66, outdistancing second-place Jake Miller, Richmond, by six strokes.
Mitch Compton was third with a 73, and Parker Deakyne tied for fifth with a 74.
Noblesville shot even-par 288, besting Cathedral by 23 strokes.
Fishers was third with 315, and Hamilton Southeastern was fourth with a score of 315.
Jacob Deakyne shot 75 for Noblesville and John Barnes carded a 76.
Merchant's front nine included five birdies. He made the turn with a 31.
On the back nine he had two birdies, and recorded his only bogey of the round. He finished the back nine with 35.
Fishers was led by Shivom Patel, who carded a five-over 77. Noah Chamberlain also shot 77, Bryce Robertson carded a 78, Nicholas Fishers shot 83, and Jackson Ousley carded an 87.
Hamilton Southeastern was led by Drew Alexander, who shot 4-over 76. Luke Jolly and Alex Bullington each shot 79s, Will Kichner carded an 81, and Jake Hutmacher scored an 88.
Although Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern tied with 315, Fishers' fifth score. Ousley's 87, was one stroke better than HSE's Hutmacher, with an 88.
The Millers and Tigers now advance to the IHSAA State Tournament, scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Prairie View Golf Club, 7000 Longest Drive, Carmel.
All teams and individual golfers will play 36 holes.
