HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN ROUND UP

BOYS SOCCER

The Royals went on the road as they welcomed some of their injured players back. It didn't take long for HSE to get on the board as Jimmy Maulucci got his first varsity goal in the first 10 minutes of the game. Lawrence North would counter with a goal of their own less than a minute later. Darian Ghaffari would score and Chayton Davidson added two more goals before halftime giving the Royals a 4-1 lead. Matt Kuster scored the final goal in the second half to bring himself to within two goals of breaking the all-time scoring record at HSE. The Royals are now 12-1-2 and wrap up the season next Tuesday with a chance to earn their first HHC championship in boys soccer when they play at Noblesville.

VOLLEYBALL

The Lady Royals defeated Zionsville on Senior Night in a 4 game thriller. The Royals knocked off the #1 ranked team in the state and 7th in the Nation 14-25, 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.

The Royals were led by Taylor Shelton with 13 kills and Senior Lark Jones had 10 kills. Freshman Olivia Phillips dished out 40 assists. "Very proud of our Senior Group, Kennedy Pitts, Meredith Phillips, Grace Kane, Lark Jones, Kat Wagner, Sarah Chastain, and Bria King have been tremendous leaders and role models for our program. We are very fortunate to get a great conference win against a tremendous opponent," said Royals coach Jason Young.
