Four Hamilton County girls golf teams are off to the IHSAA 2017 Girls Golf State Finals next week. The Westfield Shamrocks, Carmel Greyhounds, Fishers Tigers, and Hamilton Southeastern Royals all advanced from their regional tournaments this weekend.

Westfield and Carmel both competed at host Roncalli in Indianapolis. Westfield was led by sophomore Jocelyn Bruch with a score of 74. Bruch was number three overall, taking home an individual honor. Cailyn Henderson was not far behind, coming in with 77 strokes. Adrienne Montalone carded a 76, Margaret Wentz a 79, and Natalie Shupe rounded out the Rocks' score with an 89.

This will be Westfield's fourth straight appearance at the State Finals.

"We are excited to be heading backwards to our fourth straight state finals," said Rocks Head Coach Trevor Neu. "I'm proud of how our girls battled all day in the heat and finished with a better score on the back nine than the front. That says a lot about our kids' toughness."

Carmel was the last team to quality for state, the top three advancing. Westfield came in second place to Zionsville. The Eagles have proven to be one of few teams to top the Rocks at any point this season. Carmel finished third with a team score of 314, eight strokes behind Westfield's 306 and 11 behind Zionsville's 303.

The Greyhounds were led by Nina Hecht and Katie Kuc, both carding a score of 76, just missing individual honors. Erin Evans had the next lowest score for Carmel, a77. Alex Waples scored an 85 and Libby McGuire a 93.

Two golfers from Guerin Catholic competed at Roncalli individually with no team affiliation. Gabby Gilrowski finished the course in 84 strokes and Angelica Pfefferkorn in 79.

Fishers, ranked 8th, took home its first ever regional title when they competed this weekend at the Lapel Regional. The team finished with a score of 305. The Tigers were led by Morgan Lewis who shot a 66, both a personal and school best. Lewis took home top individual honors by five shots. Kennedy Booker finished fourth overall with a 74. Anna DelPrince came in with 80 strokes, and Grace Brooks and Brooke Wilson both shot an 85.

This will be Fishers' third straight State Finals appearance.

Hamilton Southeastern came in third at the same regional, carding a team score of 306. The Royals were led by Chelsea Morrow with a 71 and second top individual honors. Haleigh Gray took home the fifth top spot with a 77. Nicole Dillow followed with a 78, Julia Eaton with an 80, and Dagny Gladwell finished off the Royals with a score of 84.

Noblesville also competed at the Lapel Regional, finishing in sixth place, missing the State Finals by three places. The Millers were led by Sarah Hayes with an 82 and Taylor Keating with an 85. Brooke Gigante followed carding an 89. Ellie Karst and Bella Deibel rounded out the Millers' play with score of 95 and 99 respectively. Noblesville finished with a team score of 351.

The State Finals will be held at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel on Friday Sept. 29.
