The Husky tennis team dropped its regular season finale Saturday to the Tigers of Lebanon. Heights got great wins from Hudson Hochstedler at #2 singles and Adam Gross at #3 singles.
Number one singles player Hawkins Hochstedler lost his match 6-0, 6-1, while his brother Hudson defeated his opponent at number two singles 6-2, 6-4. Adam Gross rounded out the singles play with a victory over his counterpart 5-7, 7-6, and 6-4.
Doubles play was dominated by the Tigers, both sets of players beating Hamilton Heights. Zane Remson and Nick Rice lost 6-0, 6-3 and JP Etchison and Josh Russel lost 6-2, 6-1.
"Lebanon was a new addition to our schedule this year, and our hats go off to them for a match well played," said Husky coach Cameron Scott. "I'm really proud of Adam Gross for the way he battled back to take a close three-set match at three singles. And Hudson continues to play well at number two. He's playing with a lot of confidence right now."
With the loss varsity moves to 8-8 on the season.
The JV team lost as well, 1-6, picking up a win from Drew Pennington in singles play to move to 3-6-1 on the season.
