Westfield volleyball goes 2-2 at Brebeuf Invite

The Westfield varsity volleyball team competed in the Brebeuf Invite this weekend and left with a 2-2 record on the day. The Rocks played against Brebeuf, Providence, Maconaquah, and Cardinal Ritter.

Game 1: WHS v Brebeuf

The Westfield Shamrocks were defeated by Brebeuf in their first game of the Brebeuf Invite this weekend 25-19, 26-24. The Rocks were led by Claire Hindman with 11 digs, Kinsey McAfee with 7 kills, and Bailey Mendler with 5 aces. Sarah Weglarz finished the match with 13 assists.

Game 2: WHS v Providence

The Shamrocks were defeated by Providence in the second game of the Brebeuf Invite 25-17, 25-17. The Rocks were led by Bailey Mendler with 9 digs, and Kenzie Daffinee with 4 kills. Sarah Weglarz finished the match with 15 assists.

Game 3: WHS v Maconaquah

The Rocks took their first victory of the Invite when they defeated Maconaquah in the third game 25-15, 25-14. The Rocks were led by Grace Weber and Kenzie Daffinee with 6 kills each. Caroline Sinicki finished the match with 16 assists and 7 digs.

Game 4: WHS v Cardinal Ritter

Westfield defeated Cardinal Ritter in the fourth and final game of the Invite 25-20, 25-7 to go 2-2 on the afternoon. The Rocks were led by Grace Weber and Kenzie Weber with 6 kills each and Claire Hindman with 9 digs. Caronline Sinicki finished the match with 14 assists. Sarah Weglarz had 13 assists.
