The Sheridan Blackhawks eased past Faith Christian on Tuesday, winning by 32 points, 71-39.
The Blackhawks outscored their opponent in each quarter, and were up by double figures after the first period, 19-6.
Sheridan was equally productive on both sides of the ball, shooting 50% from the field on offense, while the Blackhawk defense recorded 17 steals.
The second quarter was the closest Faith Christian would come to equaling the Blackhawks scoring total, but Sheridan finished the half with double Faith Christian's score, 38-19.
Faith Christian would score just 10 in both the third and fourth quarters, and Sheridan sped past to get their second win out of three tries this season.
The Blackhawks were led by senior forward Ange Gnamkey, who currently leads the team in all statistical categories. Gnamkey is averaging 17.0 points per game, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 3.0 steals per contest.
He finished Tuesday's game with 18 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, six assists, and two blocked shots, while shooting 61% from the field.
Senior guard Sean Weitzel finished with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals in the win.
As a team, Sheridan shot 61% from the field on 24-29 shooting and made five of their 18 three-point attempts.
The Blackhawks will have a chance to even their conference record when they face Clinton Central on Friday on the road. Sheridan is averaging 19.7 more points per game than Clinton Central, but each team is yet to win a conference match up.
