Mrs. McDaniel was the owner/operator of Kinder-Dance Kindergartens for more than 40 years. She operated multiple preschools throughout central Indiana. She and her husband were avid square dancers in the United States and internationally for 20 years.

Mrs. Booster had served as a lay preacher with the United Methodist Church, was a homemaker, and was a former EMT with the Wayne Township Fire Department. She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and was a former member of the Wayne-Fall Lions Club in Durbin.

Ralph E. Ginder, 81, Pendleton, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.

He was born on May 21, 1933, to John and Rachel (Stottlemeyer) Ginder in Hamilton County.

Mr. Ginder proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He retired from Delco-Remy in Anderson in 1988 after 32 years of service, and was a member of Whetstone Christian Church in Anderson.

Mr. Ginder enjoyed fishing, gardening and NCAA basketball, and loved spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also holds a cross-country record at Fishers High School.

He was born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Beech Grove, to the late Louis and Pearl (Musgrove) Jones.

Mr. Jones was a farmer and a truck driver for most of his life.

Mr. Jones was a member of Kempton Methodist Episcopal Church.

Mr. Wilczek was the owner and operator of GMR Associates, a manufacturing rep company.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church and the Noblesville Elks.

He honorably served with the U.S. Army Chemical Corps and Military Advisory Commands in Vietnam and also during the Berlin Crisis (1958-1962).

Mrs. Skidmore retired from Western Electric and resided in Florida a number of years before returning to Indiana.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1937 in Tipton, to Ralph and Blanche (Hunt) Basey, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Basey attended the old Independence School, a one-room schoolhouse in Tipton County and later graduated from Tipton High School in 1955.

Mr. Basey went to work at Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville, where he worked for 35 years before retiring in 2001.

He was born on May 8, 1946, to Milo and Mary (Quear) Booth in Noblesville.

Mr. Booth was a lifelong cattle farmer and was also a Teamsters truck driver for 22 years.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Fishers Masonic Temple.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1931, in Greenfield, and resided most of her life in Anderson.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Fortville.

Mrs. Hepfer retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center as a keypunch operator after 25 years of service.

Dr. Tom Kendall
Former Sheridan resident Dr. Tom Kendall, a Sacramento area veterinarian for more than 42 years, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Monday, March 2, 2015 after being diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in November 2014.

Dr. Kendall was originally from Sheridan, and received his doctor of veterinary medicine from Purdue University in 1969. Shortly after, he and his wife, Dianne, moved to California.

She was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Tipton to Charles and Gladys (Spay) Malott.

Mrs. Roush was a graduate of Tipton High School and was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge.

She had worked as a nurse aide at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton, Arcadia Care Center and Manor House in Noblesville.

Former Noblesville resident Barbara Jean Stewart, 83, Wolcottville, died on Monday, March 9, 2015, in the Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born July 4, 1931, in LaGrange County to Homer Riley and Lela Vera (Fritz) Rasler.

She lived in Noble County for 27 years, DeKalb County for nine years, and formerly in the Noblesville area for 29 years.

Mrs. Stewart retired from Bostwick in Kendallville.

She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Kendallville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2749.

Timothy L. Masters, 61, Cicero and formerly of Elwood, died peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Riverview Health in Noblesville following complications from diabetes.

He was born Aug. 18, 1953, in Elwood, one of twin sons of Robert L. and Mary Maxine (Marley) Masters.

Mr. Masters retired from Delphi Division of General Motors in Kokomo in 2006 after 31 years in production and repair.

He was raised in the First Baptist Church in Elwood, and graduated in 1973 from Tipton High School.

Tim was proud to be the 1967 Soapbox Derby Champion in Kokomo.

Mrs. Thacker graduated from Muncie Southside High School.

She is a retired homemaker.

Mrs. Thacker was a member of Member Second Chance Baptist Church in Anderson where she was a devoted Christian.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 1981 and served as a Seabee in the U. S. Navy.

Mr. Johnson was a member of the Madison County Emergency Management Agency, and he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.

Loral H. Mahan, 97, Indianapolis, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Rittenhouse Senior Living of Indianapolis.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1917, to Loral and Flossie (Ruffner) Mahan in Anderson.

Mr. Mahan was a World War II veteran in the European Theater, where he was a Motor Pool staff sergeant in the Combat Engineers; he was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, two Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.

He retired from Railway Express Agency (REA) after 35 years, where he had been a delivery services supervisor; was a lifetime member of Bellaire United Methodist Church in Indianapolis; and was a 25-year member of Central Indiana Bicycling Association (CIBA), where he completed 22 Hilly Hundred bicycle events.

Christy M. (Humphrey) Halverson, 40, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, following an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 8, 1974, in Noblesville, to Michael and Rose Ann (Dewitt) Humphrey and has lived in the Alexandria area since 2009.

Mrs. Halverson was a certified nursing assistant and had worked at several healthcare facilities including Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She more recently had worked at Meijer in Noblesville.

She was a former member of the Lighthouse Fellowship Church of God in Noblesville and more recently of the Fairmount Church of God.

Lara Lee Pickett
Former Sheridan resident Lara Lee Pickett, 38, Albany, Ohio, died on Friday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, after a courageous and hard fought battle with breast cancer.

Ms. Pickett grew up in Sheridan and was a 1995 graduate of Sheridan High School. After graduation, she set her sights on Ball State University, attending for two years. She left Ball State to pursue chemical engineering at Purdue University, earning her Bachelor of Science in 2000.

Ms. Pickett belonged to the Young Survivors Coalition. She was a passionate activist for Breast Cancer Awareness, speaking at numerous events throughout the years to promote awareness, early detection and to let others know that they aren't alone in this fight.

Donald Wayne Shockley, 89, died on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at his home in Okeechobee, Fla.

He was born in Lebanon, on Sept. 20, 1925, to Emerald and Ruby (Clossin) Shockley. He was the oldest of seven children.

Mr. Shockley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. After being discharged from the service, he graduated from Indiana Business College.

He worked 36 years for Railroadmen's Federal Savings and Loan until his retirement.

Elizabeth 'Liz' Eugenia Richards
Elizabeth "Liz" Eugenia Richards, 97, died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, in Gilbert, Ariz.

Mrs. Richards was active in community activities including memberships in Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority and Tri Kappa Associates. She was a charter member of the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville Ladies Auxiliary, a member in the second class of volunteers for the Hamilton County Red Cross and Riverview Hospital, a Brownie Scout leader and a Methodist Church Sunday school teacher.

She was a member of the National American Penwomen's Association and for 18 years wrote an annual Christmas article for the Indianapolis Star magazine. She wrote book reviews for Rowland Printing Co. and was published in Taste of Home magazine.

Mrs. Richards considered her most important legacy to be the founding of the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club Auxiliary Auction. During her tenure, the Club raised more than $1 million to help boys and girls.

Michael Joseph Doyon, 61, Lapel, died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born on Nov. 6, 1953, in South Bend, to Thomas and Phyllis (Bott) Doyon.

Most recently, he had worked as an electronics technician for B. W. Rogers in Noblesville and for building and grounds maintenance at Trinity Life Center.

He was a Vietnam-era veteran of the U. S. Army.

Mr. Doyon was a 27-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel and a longtime participant in the church choir.

He had been a volunteer worker for Habitat for Humanity and active with his son in Boy Scout Troup 361 of Lapel for 11 years.

Gerald A. 'Pete' Evans
Gerald A. "Pete" Evans, 87, Sheridan, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Riverview Health in Noblesville.

He was born April 18, 1927, in Clinton County, to the late Ora and Laura (King) Evans.

A 1945 graduate of Sugar Creek Township School, Mr. Evans was a lifelong Clinton County resident prior to moving to Sheridan in 2003.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in Guam as a fireman first class.

Mr. Evans was a farmer, worked for 18 years at Indianapolis Stockyards and retired as branch manager of The Farmer's Bank in Michigantown in 1989. He was a member of Kirklin American Legion and attended East Union Christian Church.
