John Joseph 'Jack' Sweeney
Feb. 21, 1940 - March 5, 2017

John Joseph "Jack' Sweeney", 77, of Noblesville, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Riverview Health in Noblesville.

He was born on Feb. 21, 1940, to John and Helen Sweeney in Detroit, Mich.

He was a graduate of Michigan State University and was a member of the Michigan Air National Guard for six years. His entire working career was spent with the Kroger Company as a manager of Distribution and Transportation. After love of family, his greatest passion was supporting the beef cattle industry. He held various offices in the Indiana Angus Association and was a mentor to many young people in their agricultural careers.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Martha Moran Sweeney; three children, Susan Sweeney of Indianapolis, John (Susan) Sweeney of Katy, Texas, and Tom Sweeney of Westfield; two granddaughters, McKenzie and Heather Sweeney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Sweeney.

A private family service is scheduled. A celebration of his life is scheduled for June for all of Jack & Martha's family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to either the American Diabetes Association, Indiana Office, 8604 Allisonville Road, Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46250; or a charity of your choice.

The family has entrusted cremation to Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville.

Anne & I are sadden to hear of John's passing. Loss of lifelong friend. Bent out of touch as we've been traveling this past month. Did hear from Margaret via Facebook, but when answered via email her address no longer valid. Only have Johns cell phone number and left message for Martha.
Our deep sympathy & blessings to her and family during these hard times.
