Barbara R. Delph
Jan. 22, 1933 - Feb. 20, 2017

Barbara R. Delph, age 84, passed away peacefully Monday February 20, 2017 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1933, in Star City, to Eldon R. and Geneva R. (Henry) Vanaman.

She married James Delph Sr. on Sept. 11, 1949, in a ceremony held in Peru. She and James had enjoyed 59 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2008.

She was a member of the Hobbs Christian Church and the Tipton Lions Club. One of her favorite past times was sitting on her front porch enjoying time with the neighbors and anyone who dropped by. She had a strong faith in family and treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her four sons; James E. Delph Jr., Jerry L. (Sue) Delph, Terry (Mary) Delph and Earl (Tracie) Delph; grandchildren; Nathan Delph, Andrew Delph, Laura Delph, Jonathan Delph, Isaac Delph, Shanna Delph, Nicole Burkett, Ian Delph, Stephanie Sarpong, Rachael Logsdon, Joshua Delph, Adam Delph, Breanna Benz, Madison Gillroy and Logan Delph; 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Delph Sr.,

a daughter in law Marjorie Delph, a granddaughter Angela Delph, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday March 17, 2017, at the Porter Funeral Home, 726 East St., Tipton. Funeral services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday evening immediately following visitation. Pastor Seth Leeman of the Noblesville Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will take place in Tipton's Fairview Cemetery.
