Carmel Farmers Market Opens May 2

The Carmel Farmers Market began in 1998 and has now grown to 84 vendors.

The Carmel Farmers Market is ready to celebrate summer by bringing guests the freshest and best Indiana grown / produced food in the U.S.  The market opens on Saturday, May 2 at Carter Green in Carmel and is open from 8-11:30 a.m. (rain or shine) every Saturday through Sept. 26.

Many farm vendors have been with CFM since 1998 at the inaugural market which has now grown to 84 of the finest vendors bringing the best they have to offer! Families will enjoy talking with vendors, tasting delicious food at beautiful Carter Green, in the heart of Carmel.

Joining our great vendor lineup are nine vendors who are new to the Carmel Summer Farmers Market including Café Baby to Go, Dudley’s Toffee, Elevation Produce, Family Roots Salsa, Heritage Homestead Farm, Indiana Whiskey, Moonlight Baking Company, Stuckey Farm Orchard and Sun to Spoon.

On Opening Day, festivities kick off with free donuts for the first 500 guests as a tradition started by CFM’s first Market Master, Jim Keckley, in the summer of 1999. Four hundred free tree saplings from Carmel Urban Forestry Committee and the Carmel Street Department Urban Forestry Division. Carmel Mayor, Sue Finkham, will open the market ringing the farm bell at 8 a.m.
