Autopsies on an elderly rural Noblesville couple, and their son, found dead in an apparent murder-suicide, will be conducted Wednesday.
The deceased were found in a home in the 11200 block of 191st Street Christmas Day, by a family member. Investigators say it appears the son shot his parents, then himself.
John Calfin, Hamilton County coroner, refused to confirm the names of the deceased to The Times. Chalfin did release the names to Indianapolis media Tuesday.
Hamilton County Sheriff Mark Bowen said police were called to the residence by the elderly couple's daughter at 4:30 p.m. The daughter reported she found the deceased inside the residence.
"She's very shaken up, as anybody would be when something like this happens to your family on a holiday, or anytime," Bowen said.
He said there were reports of gunshots at the residence, but would not speculate on the cause of death for any of the deceased.
Autopsies were tentatively scheduled to begin at 7 a.m.
