FISHERS – Christine Dejoy has been named communications and social media specialist at nationally acclaimed Conner Prairie, one of the most-visited outdoor history museums in the U.S.

In her role, she’ll lead efforts to create original content for the museum’s multiple social channels, promoting and sharing news and information about programs, classes, special events and more. She will also help generate content for various communications and marketing projects.

Originally from Noblesville, and a Hamilton Southeastern High School graduate, Dejoy earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from Ball State University. She then embarked on a 16-year career as a publicist and communications specialist in L.A., Chicago and New York City.

Dejoy joins the museum from CBS Television Broadcasting Co. in Burbank, Calif., where she was a social media producer and implemented social strategies for CBS programming, including popular shows “The Price is Right,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.”

Previously, she worked as a publicist and communications specialist for a host of agencies, promoting TV programming, personalities and major events. For NBC Universal, she publicized “The Jane Pauley Show,” “Will & Grace” and various NBC late-night and reality programming. At Telepictures/Warner Bros, she publicized the nationally syndicated program “Judge Mathis.”
