Officers arrived a short time later and located a female subject in medical distress.
Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, it was reported that a 2019 Ford F-250 crew cab pickup was traveling northbound in the 14300 block of SR 37 when the backseat passenger, for an unknown reason, exited the vehicle through the backseat passenger side window as the vehicle was moving down the highway. The passenger incurred significant injuries as a result of the incident and immediate lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup has been identified as Sean R. Schledt, 43, of Noblesville, IN. There was also a juvenile occupant seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Investigators interviewed Schledt, who is the fiancée of the victim, and he indicated that he had just picked up the passenger from Eddy’s Sports Pub located at 14160 Mundy Drive (Noblesville). Schledt indicated that he was unaware of the passenger’s intentions and was unable to stop the vehicle prior to the passenger jumping out of the window. Schledt was released and is considered a witness in the incident.
The passenger has been identified as Alyssa M. Elliot, 35, of Noblesville, IN. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office will conduct the death investigation and will be the official source for any additional information relating to a possible contributing factor(s) or cause of death.
The northbound lanes of SR 37 from 141st Street to 146th Street were restricted and/or closed until approximately 5:30 a.m. as investigators processed the scene.
