It was a back and forth affair with the Arabians of Pendleton Heights on Monday night as the Millers opened up sectional play. Luckily for the Millers, the scoring chances tilted in their favor. The Arabians played a very condensed, defensive formation with one lone striker high up the pitch. This made it difficult to break their defense, but in the end the Millers were able to find the back of the net five times to secure the victory in the first round of IHSAA Sectional Playoffs.

The game started quickly. Spencer Holland flew up right flank, took a shot and it deflected into a defenders arm for a handball. Jack Miller calmly stepped up and buried the ensuing penalty kick. The Arabians drew level at one when the Millers defense on a corner kick broke down. The lead was restored with great goal by Drew Barnes with the assist coming from Palmer Ault.

In the second half, Palmer Ault continued to have a great game. He scored his first of two goals to bring the lead to 3-1. The Arabians, once again played long into their lone striker for a nice counter attack that pulled them to 3-2. That was the closest the game would get. Palmer Ault would get his second goal and senior forward Brendon Fisher got his second goal in as many nights to bring the score to 5-2.

The Millers will play Fishers on Wednesday night at 5:30PM.
