FISHERS – Following a second place finish in their season opening match at Bloomington South on Monday, the Lady Greyhounds golf team was ready to hit the links again. This time the team traveled to play in the Hamilton Southeastern Invitational at Stony Creek. Carmel took home first place in this event as the team shot a 299 on the day. 

Katie Kuc once again led the team as she shot a two under 67 on the day and took home the individual medal. Ava Hedrick followed Kuc by shooting a 75 and Sydney Longstreth a 78. 

Hamilton Southeastern placed third at the meet after posting a team score of 343. Amber Luttrell led the way for the Royals as she shot an 80 on the day. Cora Zink and Annabelle Willard both shot an 87 to help the Royals in their third place finish. 

Rounding out the Hamilton County schools participating in the meet was the Lady Tigers of Fishers. The Lady Tigers placed fourth at the meet, after the team combined to shoot a 362. The team was highlighted by Kaitlynn Brunnemer who tied for third overall at the meet with Carmel’s Longstrethand Avery Reiter by shooting a 78. 

Other schools that participated in the meet included Roncalli, Brebeuf and Lapel. Both Brebeuf and Lapel did not finish with team scores while Roncalli shot a 404 as a team. 

For the Greyhounds their next meet will be on Aug. 8 at the Crooked Stick Invite which will take place at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel. 
The Lady Tigers will have a little over a week off before their next match which will see them host the reigning state champions North Central Lady Panthers on Aug. 15. 

And for the Royals their next match will be on Aug. 10 when they participate in the State Preview which will take place at the Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel.
