The Noblesville Millers and the Shamrocks of Westfield would battle it out on the ptich Tuesday evening. The Millers would come away with a 5-1 win.
Pink Out was the theme to show support for the Megan S. Ott Foundation.

The Millers wore commemorative pink kits during the game and the Shamrocks even donned pink warm up shirts to help show support and raise money for a great cause.

In front of a big home crowd, the Millers came out energetic but were shocked when Westfield put in a goal within the first four minutes of the game. Freshmen Owen Mejia went for a header clearance, only for it to be directed into a Shamrock player's head where it ricochetted into the back of the Millers net.

However, the Millers weren't down for long. Drew Barnes scored two great goals in the first half to take the lead at 2-1. In the 39th minute, Adam Carter came up big in goal, stopping a penalty kick.

In the second half, Adam Carter came up big again. Clinging to their one goal lead, the Millers let the Shamrocks get behind the back line and have a 1-on-1 with the keeper. Adam Carter, with his big 6'4" frame, sprawled out to make a spectacular save. After that Drew Barnes scored his third and fourth goals of the evening to push the lead to 4-1.

He was subbed off immediately after his fourth goal to a nice ovation from the crowd. Within minutes, Kyle Goad, who had subbed on for Drew Barnes made his presence known, and buried the 5th Miller goal to complete the scoring at 5-1.

The Millers are next in action with a doubleheader on Saturday against 2 quality opponents from the Fort Wayne area. The early game is against Homestead and the late game is against Fort Wayne Northrop. Come on out to the WRE Soccer Complex for some Saturday matinee soccer
