The Lady Millers soccer team would host Hoosier Crossroads Conference opponent Fishers on Thursday night and would ultimately battle to a 1-1 tie. 

Both teams wouldn’t be able to get on the board in the first half. The first goal of the game would come in the 46th minute of play as the Tigers would score off a deflection from a free kick. 

The Lady Millers would respond in the 53rd minute with a goal of their own as Carly Hudnall’s corner kick would be redirected right into the feet of

Makenna Maloy who would sent the ball into the back of the net from 23 yards out. 

The tie would send the Millers record to 3-0-1 on the season while the Tigers record would be 6-0-2 as both teams would avoid their first loss of the season. 

Volleyball falls in straight sets to Tigers

The Lady Miller volleyball team would also play the Tigers on Thursday night as the team traveled to Fishers High School. 

The Millers would fall in straight sets as the Tigers would come away victorious 17-25, 10-25, and 17-25. 

Leading the way for the Millers offensively was Lexie Almodovar who would finish with 12 kills and 12 assists while also having nine digs and three blocks on defense. Riley Branch would set up her teammates all night as she would finish with ten assists. 

The Millers with the loss fall to 1-6 on the season and will host McCutcheon Tuesday night. 

Golf places third against Carmel, HSE

The Miller girl’s golf team would host play host to the Carmel Greyhounds and the Hamilton Southeastern Royals on Thursday night as Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville. 

The Millers would end up finishing in third place in a very-competitive match with all three teams. The Millers would shoot a 164 and only finish seven strokes behind of Carmel who won the match with a 157, and just two strokes back of the Royals who shot a 162. 

Sarah Brenneman would lead the way for the Millers as she would shoot a 37 on the night. Ellie Karst and Caroline Whallon would each card a 41 with Bella Deibel rounding out the scoring with a 45. 

The Millers will be back in action on Saturday as they will compete and host the Hall of Fame Invitational at Purgatory Golf Club. 

Boys Tennis takes care of Franklin Central 

The Miller Boys Tennis team would travel to Franklin Central on Thursday and walk away with a 5-0 win. 

Outstanding performances for the Millers were given to No. 1 singles Noah Bushong and the No. 1 doubles pair of Josh Middleton and Evan Voigt.

Overall scores for the Millers are as follows:

#2 Singles: NHS Michael Krukover defeats FCHS Brandon Kinnick; 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
#3 Singles: NHS Zach Greer defeats FCHS Wyatt Gilliland; 6-3, 6-3.
#1 Doubles: NHS Josh Middleton, Evan Voigt defeats FCHS Jake Baron, Aidan Carlisle; 7-5, 6-3.
#2 Doubles: NHS Jonathan Maskew, Sean Vitales defeats FCHS Kole Brewer, Garrett Smith; 6-3, 6-1.

The Millers will return to action next Wednesday as they will travel to Hamilton Southeastern to compete against the Royals.
