The day started with two Senior starters already out of the line-up and by Round 2 a third was out after an injury to Sam Crousore in his second match, leaving the Royals scraping for points to compete at the 2019 John Hurrle. The young Royals performed well.

Led by Senior Jake Simone who won the 120 pound weight and Sophomore Max Broom, champion of the 182 pound weight class, the Royals were able to put 313 points on the board, just 30 points behind 2nd place Fishers.

Other outstanding individual efforts were turned in by Reece Luhmann, going 4-1 with a Runner-up finish, Gaige Lloyd And Jake Lemieux, both of whom went 4-1 as well in 3rd place finishes, and Ryan Cast, going 4-1 en route to a 5th place finish.

Two Royals were tremendous in their fill-in appearances for injured Seniors. At 170 Charlie Irish went 3-2 with 3 falls filling in for Ronan Hiner. Freshman Dom Burgett was excellent at Heavyweight filling in for Andrew Irick, also going 3-2 on the day.

At 220, Devin Dudley took home 4th place in his weight as well. And Zack Wagner And Cam Roberts finished 5th and 6th respectively at 152.
Wagner led a slew of JV wrestlers that had their firstborn HS wins. Nick Burris joined Wagner as a 5th placer as well as Luke Murphy. Trevon Ternoir took 4th at 160 with a great day! Xavier Dokes And Tshombe Lewis both had good debuts as freshman with a pair of wins at 182 and 285 respectively.

The Royals will next be in action on December 3rd when they travel to Avon to take on a tough Oriole team.
