Hamilton County, Ind. (Feb. 9, 2018) – Hamilton County Sheriff candidate, Captain Dennis Quakenbush (R-Cicero) has received the endorsement of current Hamilton County Sheriff Mark Bowen.

Bowen joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy in 1991, and spent 27 years with the Department, including time as Chief Deputy under Sheriff Doug Carter, before being elected Sheriff in 2011 and re-elected in 2015.

“Through a lifetime of public safety leadership, Mark Bowen helped build the type of professional law enforcement organization for which everyone in Hamilton County can be proud and I am deeply honored to receive his support,” Quakenbush said. “Our next sheriff needs to have the experience and knowledge to protect our community. They also need to be fiscally responsible and be willing to work with local leaders and experts to tackle the issues we are facing. This is the type of diverse experience I have and will bring to the community as Sheriff.”

“Having served alongside him for the last 16 years, Capt. Quakenbush is the clear choice to lead and expand the protection and safety we cherish in Hamilton County,” Bowen said.
