  • No surprises in election
11/3/2015 In Noblesville, Cicero, Arcadia and Fishers, the polls were open on Tuesday for Election Day.

    But few voters turned out.

Hamilton County election administrator Kathy Richardson is disappointed because she said small races can be just as important as the large races.

She attributes low-turnout to the lack of publicity and election signs that traditionally flood the area prior to an election.

Only 8.67 percent of registered voters turned out to vote this year, which is a lower than the expected turnout which was around 16 percent, Richardson said.

Tuesday
11/2/2015 THIS STORY WAS UPDATED MONDAY.

    Tuesday is Election Day.

And in Hamilton County, it's a Municipal Election year, which means just cities and towns will have elections.

But there isn't much opposition. Which means voter turnout might be lower than four years ago.

In Westfield, Carmel, Sheridan, and Atlanta, candidates ran unopposed in the May election primary, so there will be no elections in those cities and towns.

But in Noblesville, Fishers, Cicero and Arcadia, the polls will be open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
