SHERIDAN - Last fall the Sheridan Rotary Club partnered up with the Carmel Rotary Club to obtain a matching Rotary District 6560 grant to put a new roof on the MAMA's Cupboard Food Pantry facility in uptown Sheridan.

The clubs are proud to announce that the project is complete and MAMA's Cupboard has a brand new roof.

The Sheridan Club donated $2,500 dollars as did the Carmel Club and that total amount of $5,000 was matched by the District. The $10,000 raised was combined with further funding from MAMA's Cupboard to finish the project. Located on the northeast corner of Main and 2nd Streets in Sheridan, the facility should be rain and snow proof for many years to come.

Rotary clubs all over the world are actively involved in their communities and take on projects just like this for the benefit of all within the community. Sheridan Rotary is proud to be a part of this tradition, and we are very pleased to have the cooperation of a neighboring club to help us accomplish this project.

Sheridan Rotary has formal meetings with dinner and a guest speaker on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month in the Community Room of the Sheridan Public Library. The other Tuesday evenings in the month are designated for various community projects such as working in the town parks, packing Christmas food boxes, installing utility shelving and having Rotary governance board and various committee meetings.
