WESTFIELD – Ken Alexander, Westfield, will run for Hamilton County Council, District 4, covering Westfield, Sheridan, and western Carmel.

Alexander is currently the Vice President of Sales at Fishers-based the Hagerman Group and was previously the Director of Grand Park in Westfield.

Alexander has worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years. He was instrumental in the development and opening of Grand Park, the country’s largest sports campus, and helped improve the economic development surrounding Grand Park which put Westfield on the national map as a true destination.

Prior to joining Grand Park, Alexander served as Director Public Works for the City of Westfield. Before his work in Westfield, he oversaw the development of Prairie View and the transformational Village of West Clay subdivisions and has managed several major construction projects for the University of Notre Dame, Ivy Tech and the award-winning Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. 

“Our county needs leaders who will prioritize engaging young people in our community to ensure Hamilton County will continue to be a wonderful environment for families to live, work and play in future years,” Alexander said.  “Along with engaging our young people, I want to ensure our unprecedented growth is managed well and in the most transparent way, and that community tax dollars are managed efficiently, maximizing investment in our community.”

Alexander is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Construction and Engineering Management.  He and his wife Jenni, a high school science teacher, have three children, Andy, an 8th grader at Westfield Middle School; Katelynn, a 5th grader at Westfield Intermediate School; and Connor, a 3rd grader at Shamrock Springs Elementary School.

The Primary election is scheduled for May 8, 2018.
