CARMEL - Six local business and community leaders have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Center for the Performing Arts.

The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the Center's services and resources, representing the interests of the public and acting as stewards of funds raised to achieve organizational goals. Each board member offers the organization unique leadership qualities, a commitment to live performance and community engagement, and a desire to promote the Center as a valuable community asset and an important element in the regional cultural landscape.

Board members are elected to three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms. The new members are:

• Quinn Shepherd of Westfield, managing general partner, Shepherd Insurance & Financial Services

• Deborah B. Wood of Westfield, chief executive officer, DWA Healthcare Communications Group

• Kathleen (Kathy) Krusie of Carmel, president, North Region Community Health Network

• Justin Moffett of Carmel, partner, Old Town Design Group

• Jane E. Niederberger of Carmel, principal, Niederberger Ventures

• Anthony (Tony) Robertson of Carmel, chief executive officer, PraxisMed
