CICERO – A 36 year old Cicero man was arrested by Cicero Police, following a brief standoff in a vacant house.

Wesley Collier is charged with one count of burglary and two counts of theft.

The charges stem from the burglary of a Cicero home.

During their investigation, police were led to a vacant residence, where they found an open door and heard someone inside.

Collier allegedly locked and barricaded the door and refused to come out. After efforts to have the suspect surrender failed, officers forced entry and eventually found the suspect in the crawl space.

Collier was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

The investigation continues, and anyone believing they have information relevant to the investigation should contact the Cicero Police Department.

Cicero was assisted by deputies from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, along with its K-9, and the Arcadia Police Department.
