In this class for beginners, you will learn how to form all the italic lower case letters, which originated in Renaissance Italy. Paper, pen, guidesheet, and exemplar are provided, free of charge. All instructional materials are yours to keep. The class will be taught by Julia Fish Thompson, the current president of the Calligraphy Guild of Indiana. Join us for Paws & Read, brought to you by our awesome canine, feline (and human) pals from Love on a Leash. Studies show that reading to friendly, non-judgmental audiences (like dogs and cats) helps kids build self-esteem, confidence and reading comprehension skills.

The American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) will provide free tax assistance for seniors, low-income families and individuals at the Noblesville Library. Assistance will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. February 1 through April 12. AARP volunteers are trained, tested, and monitored by the IRS. Electronic filing is available. Assistance will be provided on a first come first served basis. Please bring your Social Security card and a government issued ID such as a driver's license; it is IMPERATIVE that you also bring LAST YEAR'S TAX RETURNS! This lapsit program is for infants through young toddlers and their caregiver. Participate in rhymes, songs, and stories with your little one. Babytimes are designed to familiarize babies with sounds, words, and stories and to encourage the development of motor skills. Caregivers will take away ideas for playing with baby in a meaningful way.

Learn coding using Ozobots! Learn drag-and-drop coding to create programs, load the programs onto the Ozobot and run the program to make the robot move. This program will be held in the computer classroom. Space is limited so registration is required. For grades 3-6.

Expand your jewelry making repertoire by learning how to make stretch bracelets. Previous experience in making jewelry is highly recommended since this class will be more complex and requires some dexterity. This class will be taught by Emily Wasonga from Love's Hangover. Registration is required.

For toddlers and preschoolers and their caregiver. Start your morning with music and movement! This program incorporates songs, rhymes, and dance that will help get you ready for your busy day. Encourages the development of gross motor skills and language skills. Rhythm instruments for 25 children will be available. The program may be enjoyed without instruments.

Do you enjoy writing and are looking for a place to share? Come join our informal group of writer to work on a budding idea, exchange encouragement with peers, and even share some of what you have been working on, if you choose. If you have ever had an interest in writing, this group will be a good place to start or expand your technique. The aim of this group is not to provide writing prompts or harsh critiques. Rather, we will encourage each other and learn more about our own writing in the process. Registration is required.
