ARCADIA - Hamilton Heights High School is sponsoring a community blood drive 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, at school auditorium, 25802 Ind. 19.

"This blood drive is extremely important because some of the blood and plasma will be shipped to Las Vegas to help some of the recent mass shooting victims in need," said Dep. Brad Osswald, Hamilton Heights School resource officer. "There are over 500 victims injured and in desperate need of blood. Please consider donating on Thursday."

The blood drive is open to anyone 16 years of age and older.

"Please pass this information along to family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. who may want to donate for this important effort," Osswald said. "It is our hope to get as many donors as possible to show how much we care and want to help."

Sign up online through the Indiana Blood Center.org, email Osswald at bosswald@mail.hhsc.k12.in.us, or walk in and register on Thursday.

For more information, contact Deputy Osswald at 317-984-3551 Ext. 1055.
