The Excel Center®, Goodwill’s high school for adults, will host a block party on Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Goodwill retail store located at 7440 Fishers Station Drive in Fishers, and another on Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Goodwill retail store at 6302 E. 82nd St., in Indianapolis.

Open to the public, various organizations and members of the community have been invited to participate in the block parties, which will both include free food, giveaways from multiple vendors and games for families of all ages. Onsite enrollment will also be provided for anyone who wishes to enroll for the new school year.

The Excel Center provides support and resources for students to help them meet their education and career goals. With expedited curriculum and flexible scheduling, adults can graduate quickly and prepare for postsecondary pathways. The Excel Center also offers free onsite child care, transportation assistance and opportunities to earn college credits and industry-recognized certifications — all at no cost.

“We are excited that The Excel Center in Noblesville has helped nearly 200 adults graduate with a newfound college and career pathway,” said Dr. Steve Dillon, school director. “The block parties will help celebrate the successes we have experienced thus far within the community.”

Located at 300 N. 17th St., Noblesville, The Excel Center is now enrolling for the new school year. With ongoing, year-round enrollment, The Excel Center is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Indiana residents who are interested in enrolling can apply online at excelcenter.org or call 317-524-4410.
