FISHERS - A 13-year-old was arrested for manufacturing and possessing a hoax explosive device, Thursday in Fishers.

Fishers police received a report of a possible explosive device at 10:30 p.m., at 13124 Saxony Blvd.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the 13 year old, who lives in Fishers, had made a device to look like a bomb.

There were no explosive chemicals inside the device and it was not considered a threat.

There were no forced evacuations, but some people were encouraged to leave while the device was being investigated. Those people were in connecting townhomes. That lasted for a couple of hours while it was made sure the device was not dangerous.

Due to the fact that a juvenile was arrested, Fishers Police general orders do not permit the release of additional information.
