A one-artist-show by Noblesville artist Arlyne Springer will be showcased at the Southside Art League Off Broadway Gallery, 299 E. Broadway St., in Greenwood, from April 3 through April 27. Visit the gallery during regular hours — Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — where the SALI Gallery will be exhibiting a collection of fascinating prints by Springer.

Arlyne Springer has been making art her whole life, and concentrates on two themes. Family history narratives are masterfully inspired by old family photos, mementos, or antiques. Her family in Indiana goes back 150 years, and she hopes to create an artistic legacy with her prints to pass on to her children and grandchildren. Viewers often identify with the images she creates. She also creates abstract prints that allow her to explore new methods while creating formal art designs but with a more playful approach.

Springer has been part of the Indiana art scene for over 35 years. She earned a BFA degree with highest distinction from Herron School of Art at IUPUI, as well as an AA degree from Stephens College in Missouri. She has been accepted into art shows at the local, regional and national levels, and won countless awards. Memberships include the Indiana Artist Assoc., Hoosier Salon, Brown County Art Guild, and Nickel Plate Art Assoc.
Visitors also have the opportunity to meet Springer during the SALI Open House on Friday, April 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served during the open house.

The open house and the gallery are both free to attend.
