WESTFIELD - Westfield Shamrocks will celebrate the football season opener with a ribbon-cutting on Friday of the new Riverview Health Stadium at Westfield High School.

Riverview Health in 2014 entered into a long-term agreement with Westfield Washington Schools to serve as the exclusive healthcare provider and get the first naming rights for the football stadium.

Riverview agreed to pay $1.2 million over a 10-year period, the district's superintendent Mark Keen has said.

Students, families, school faculty and the community will celebrate the opening of Riverview Health Stadium with an array of activities, before the football game against Harrison:

4:45 p.m.: Fun zones open, deejay begins, ribbon cutting at north entrance of the stadium with Superintendent Dr. Mark Keen, Westfield High School principal Dr. Stacy McGuire, School Board, Riverview Health and Mayor Andy Cook. A ceremony photo will be taken at the north entrance that will also include the Estridge Family Foundation, Sodexo, Edgerock Development, Carx Tire and Auto, New York Life, Collision Cure, and CSI Signs.

5 p.m.: Hospitality tent opens for VIPs, gates open for viewing.

5:45 p.m.: Team walk down Rock Alley.

6:15 p.m.: Choir members gather on track.

6:40 p.m.: Teams clear the field.

6:45 p.m.: Bands play National Anthem, Parachuter lands with the American Flag and game ball, band forms tunnel after parachuters clear.

6:55 p.m.: Presentation of honorary footballs to Riverview Health, Jake Gilbert, Dr. Mark Keen, Dr. Stacy McGuire, City of Westfield and Westfield Athletic Department.

6:58 p.m.: Teams enter field.

7:05 p.m.: Kick-off.

Halftime: Band performance (10 minutes), track events (10 minutes) and Donor Walk (5 minutes).
