Riverview Hospitals 100th birthday was technically Sunday, but the party, complete with song and cake took place Friday with CEO Pat Fox leading the celebration.

A multi-tiered vanilla, chocolate and white cake from Heavenly Sweets was ringed with light blue ribbon that bore the Riverview logo. Before the cake could be cut, Fox told the assembled staff they have much to be proud of and through their dedicated work had touched the lives of millions over the years at Indiana's first county hospital.

Riverview Hospital is a full-service, 161-bed hospital located in the heart of Hamilton County. The medical staff is comprised of 350 physicians in more than 35 medical specialties.

Riverview is owned by the county and does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses.

The main campus is located at 395 Westfield Road in Noblesville. In addition to the main facility, Riverview has more than 20 primary, immediate and specialty care facilities located throughout Hamilton County.
