Sandra Kay Fennell, age 77, passed away Dec. 23, 2017, at her Noblesville home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1940, at Elwood, to Gavrel and Oleine (Powell) Kakasuleff.

She was raised in the White River Township community and graduated from Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1958. She was a majorette and also active in the school band.

After graduation she became a secretary for the Indiana State Highway Department at Indianapolis.

She married William Thomas Fennell on Sept. 4, 1960. Upon becoming a wife and mother she chose to be a full time homemaker. After raising three children, she returned to the work force, working for several years at CBSI at Sheridan and Adkins Drapery in Westfield. Mrs. Fennell was a life-long active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, but mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends.  

Survivors include her husband, William Thomas Fennell; son, Gregg Fennell of Indianapolis; daughters, Tanya K. Runyan of Arcadia, and Trina Hiatt of Arcadia; one grandson and four granddaughters, one great-granddaughter; a sister, Phyllis McDonald; and a brother, Eugene Kakasuleff.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia. Burial will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Arcadia. Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson St., Cicero, IN  46034.
