An Indianapolis woman and one other person were injured in a Sunday afternoon traffic accident on Ind. 37 at Field Drive.

Jennifer L. Burdine, 38, and an unidentified passenger in her vehicle were transported to Riverview Health and St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, with non-life threatening injuries following the two-vehicle accident.

The Noblesville Police Department was dispatched to the scene at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, on a report of a two-vehicle accident.

Based on evidence at the scene it appears Burdine’s vehicle was travling north on Ind. 37, preparing to turn west onto Field Drive, and turned into the path of a pickup truck, traveling south on Ind. 37.

The truck was unable to stop and struck the first vehicle on the passenger side.

Burdine was transported by ground ambulance to Riverview Heath with minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was transported by air ambulance to St. Vincent with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. 
The driver of the pickup, Jack R. Bays, 25, Anderson, and a passenger in the vehicle were treated and released at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. 
Investigators from the NPD Accident Reconstruction Unit were summons to the scene to collect evidence and gather information. As a result of the investigation, lanes of Ind. 37 and Field Drive were either restricted or closed until approximately 7:10 p.m.
